FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: depending on a channel condition, a variable interruption timer may be set in respect to wireless transfer of data packets. Besides, the accessible size of a buffer may be assessed and used to set duration of a variable interruption timer. When a sequence of packets is sent, packets may be lost during transfer. When a lost packet is recognised, a timer may be initialised, and a request for repeated transfer of a lost packet may be sent. If a lost packet does not arrive during operation of a variable interruption timer, the sequence of packets may be processed without an absent packet.
EFFECT: higher reliability of data transfer.
