FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rocket engineering and specifically to production of components of mixed solid rocket propellant with high energy characteristics. The method of modifying octogene involves depositing a component which is characterised by that octogene is added to butadiene styrene latex with concentration of 1% at temperature of (20±5)°C in three equal portions for 10…15 in weight ratio of octogene to latex of 100:(0.6…0.8), mixed for 20…30 minutes and a precipitant is added in weight ratio of latex to the precipitant of 1:0.5 for 15…20 minutes, filtered and dried.
EFFECT: invention improves explosive and process characteristics of fuel and lowers sensitivity to an electric spark.
