FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves line by line synchronous projection of prepared plane images of an object using two projectors located at a known base, optical axes of which are directed towards a coinciding point on a screen, by model construction of projective pyramids passing through projection points and boundary points of the prepared plane images of the object to its image on the screen, paired triangular planes, which are connected to the projection points, of which are similar. Optical axes of the projectors are set in one direction and enable to obtain equal volumes of the projective pyramids which rest on the stereo image of the object on the screen. The device consists of two optical projectors spaced apart on a known base, which provide simultaneous line by line projection of plane images of the object from arrays with records of its prepared plane images, an information reading synchroniser with line and frame sweep generators, which is connected to arrays, the output of which is connected to the optical projectors through a signal analyser.
EFFECT: simple method of producing stereoscopic images and high consumer quality of stereoscopic displays by eliminating the effect of spatial factors on the position of the observer.
