FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses methods and devices for identification of correct peaks in output signals of matched filters in user equipment for communication systems. The received signal is correlated with a copy of a synchronisation signal, this forming an output correlation signal. Peaks are detected in an output signal of correlation. The peak is tested in multiple predetermined locations, which are based on properties of a synchronisation signal, thus forming many signals of peak signals testing. The maximum of test signals of peaks is determined.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of synchronisation.
