SUBSTANCE: in a system, where a number of different Zadov-Chu sequences or GCL sequences are assigned to one cell, the number of arithmetic operations and the integration degree of the correlation scheme at the receiving end can be reduced. According to this method and the device at ST201, the counter (a) and the number (p) of the current sequence assignments are initialized, and at ST202 it is determined, whether the number (p) of the current sequence assignments coincides with the number (K) of assignments to one cell. At ST203, it is determined, whether the number (K) of assignments to one cell is odd or even. If K is even at ST204-ST206, the sequence numbers (r=a and r=N-a) that are not currently assigned are combined and then assigned. If K is odd at ST207-ST212, for sequences that cannot be matched, one of the sequence numbers (r=a and r=N-a) is assigned, which are not currently assigned.
EFFECT: reduction in the amount of computation and the degree of integration of the correlation scheme in the frequency domain on the receiving side without degrading the characteristics of the sequence detection.
