FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry when processing hydrofluoric acid wastes. To obtain synthetic fluorite, calcium sulphate is added to hydrogen fluoride solution which is taken in excess of 20-35%, while heating and stirring. The residue is then separated from the mother solution by filtering. The mother solution is neutralised to pH 7.0 and a precipitant - calcium sulphate or hydroxide - is then added. The secondary mother solution is separated by decantation.

EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of the process of producing synthetic fluorite by improving its quality, filtration and sedimentation properties, low moisture content and heat energy consumption for drying thereof, avoiding expenses on the precipitant by using waste calcium sulphate, and high degree of extraction of the fluoride ion waste mother solutions.
