FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: furnace has an outlet opening located out of centre and measuring device that has a metering nozzle fixed with possibility of being retracted on the metering nozzle; at that, metering head is capable of being set to the working position above the panel of the arc so that the metering nozzle is capable of being introduced through an opening provided in the arc panel to the melting space of an electric arc furnace. In order to position the metering head, the provision is made for a positioning device that is installed on service platform of electric arc furnace; at that, positioning device is installed on the side of the service platform, which is opposite to pivot mechanism of the cover plate of electric arc furnace.
EFFECT: invention allows easy and reliable measurement of temperature and sampling from molten metal.
