FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to slag door of melting furnace for steel making. Slag door comprises a frame, on which a sliding closing panel is installed, configured to selectively take down position to close said slag channel, and a slag removal device installed on said frame and movable relative to it, provided with at least a cleaning lever and having at its end a cleaning element configured to move inside the slag channel when the closing panel is in the raised position, wherein said device has active and inactive working position.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to safely and without downtime to remove slag during melting, to reduce time for furnace maintenance, and also increases efficiency of furnace, guarantees safety of operators and can be used at any melting furnace.
