FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: vibrations in the ultrasonic range are excited in the volume of the analysed liquid using a resonator, the resonator being an ultrasonic oscillatory system consisting of a piezoelectric transducer, frequency-reducing linings, one of which ends with a working tool; excitation of vibrations for cavitational ultrasonic treatment is carried out by immersing the vibrating working tool in the investigated liquid; during ultrasonic treatment, frequency of supply voltage of the oscillatory system is varied in the vicinity of its resonance frequency and amplitude of current of the mechanical branch of the oscillatory system is measured, which is the difference between the full current of the and its capacitive component, and amplitude of voltage resulting from current consumed by the ultrasonic oscillatory system from an electronic generator is measured; the measured frequency characteristics are used to determine values of active, reactive and energy parameters of the ultrasonic oscillatory system which correspond to values of physical properties (e.g., density, elasticity of the medium, ohmic losses, etc) of the investigated liquids.
EFFECT: continuous monitoring of parameters of liquid media subjected to low-intensity ultrasonic vibrations and also exposed to high-intensity ultrasonic fields.
