SUBSTANCE: it is proposed to set a common field for a transport format and a redundancy version in an information format of a control channel. According to one approach, this common field is used for joint coding of the transport format and the redundancy version in it. According to another aspect, in a control channel signal one jointly used field is provided, which indicates either a transport format, or a redundancy version, depending on the fact whether the control channel signal relates to initial transfer or to repeated transfer. Another version proposes additional improvements to the (HARQ) protocol addressed to specific error instances.

EFFECT: reduction of inefficient costs of a control channel.
