FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to producing metal-polymer or biopolymer article. Proposed metal comprises making metal or polymer article blank to be arranged in female die for finished article to be made in one process step. Said step includes making article base stock, forming, arranging and latching polymer element to make finished product. Note here that softened polymer material is placed on article base stock inner surface, its volume matching that of inner polymer element of preset thickness and shape. Then, male die is fed into female die to make closed cavity between blank inner surface and male die outer surface filled with air. Then, channel is formed to discharge air from said closed space that rules out discharge of softened polymer material. Then, make die is fed inside said closed space to vary its volume and apply pressure to said polymer material sufficient for its distribution over said closed space. Closed space is filled with softened polymer material to form inner polymer element to be placed on blank inner surface. Male die pressure is transformed into forming force of inner polymer element exerted to blank inner surface to expand blank base stock and to reduce it in female die so that finished product base stock is produced.
EFFECT: simplified process.
