METHOD OF PRODUCING METAL-PLASTIC ARTICLES Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC B29C45/14 

FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to production of metal-plastic article. Proposed method comprises places article base billet in die and producing finished article in one cycle. Said step includes making article base stock, forming, arranging and latching polymer element to make finished product. Note here that metal sheet makes said billet to be placed in die, clamped over edges to displace male die into female die on pressing male die to billet. Then, base stock is formed in gap between female and male die shaping surface to make the clearance between female die surface and base stock. Closed cavities are created between billet surface and shaping surfaces of female and male dies. Plastic melt is forced from female die injector into cavity between billet surface and shaping surface of female die to fill it so that article outer surface can be formed. Note here that pressure of plastic in said cavity is created to form article base stock between surface of male die and article base stock to obtain finished shape. Now, the article is cooled, metal base stock is squeezed by plastic parts in plastic shrinkage, metal billet is cut off outside the female die forming part, male die is moved from female die to withdraw finished article. Note here that all said jobs are performed in one cycle.
