FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: blood is examined for a level of endotoxin and assessed for a degree of particle activation by Endotox spp. MAP and lysate amebocyte assay. The level of endotoxin being 2.5 ng/ml and the degree of particle activation being 2, the absence of a risk of recurrent haemorrhage is predicted.
EFFECT: higher clinical effectiveness in the patients with hepatic cirrhosis, enabled selection of a therapeutic approach.
