SUBSTANCE: used to predict the risk of bleeding from varicose veins of the stomach and esophagus in patients with intrahepatic portal hypertension after surgical intervention in the scope of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic stent shunting with selective embolization of the gastric veins. Magnetic resonance imaging is used to visualize the embolized flow paths to the varix of the stomach and esophagus, namely the left, posterior gastric veins, short gastric veins, and in the absence of visualization of the embolized veins, the absence of the risk of bleeding is predicted; when visualizing the embolized veins, the presence of a risk of bleeding is predicted.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine the absence or existence of a risk of bleeding without the use of invasive diagnostic methods through a comprehensive assessment of the condition of the gastric veins on magnetic resonance imaging after performing a TIPS operation with embolization of the gastric veins without the use of a contrast agent based on the proposed evaluation criteria.
