METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF TREATMENT TACTICS FOR PATIENTS WITH RISK OF BLEEDING FROM VARICOSE VEINS OF ESOPHAGUS AND APPLICATION OF ENDOSCOPIC LIGATION TO PREVENT AND STOPPING BLEEDING FROM VARICOSE VEINS OF ESOPHAGUS IN CASE OF PORTAL HYPERTENSION Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B17/94

Abstract RU 2642965 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: blood pressure in the varicose veins of the esophagus is measured using an endoscopic ultrasound transducer and Waldman's apparatus. With venous pressure of 300-450 mm water, EL is considered inappropriate due to the absence of bleeding. With venous pressure of 600 to 700 mm water, EL of varicose veins of the esophagus is considered effective. With pressure value greater than 700 mm water, EL is considered contraindicated.

EFFECT: method allows to optimize the treatment of patients with the portal hypertension syndrome, to identify risk factors for EL inefficiency and to offer alternative treatment.
