METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE PROGRESSION OF VIRAL LIVER CIRRHOSIS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01N33/53 A01B5/00

Abstract RU 2784344 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to hepatology, and pertains to a method for predicting the progression of viral liver cirrhosis. Peripheral blood is taken, mononuclear cells are isolated therefrom, and the resulting mononuclear cells are labelled with monoclonal antibodies against surface antigens present on monocytes. The percentage of classical, intermediate, and non-classical monocytes therein is determined. Herewith, the peripheral blood is taken in the first 24 to 48 hours of hospital stay prior to combined treatment, and after the percentage of classical and intermediate monocytes is determined, the index of the ratio of classical monocytes to intermediate monocytes P is calculated by the formula. Herein, if P<9.5, absence of a clinical response to therapy and progression of liver cirrhosis is predicted.

EFFECT: provided prediction of the progression of viral liver cirrhosis in patients.
