FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: propylene-hexene-1 copolymer contains a xylene-soluble fraction in amount of less than 5 wt % with respect to total weight of the copolymer and satisfying the relationship: where A is the melt flow rate measured according to the method ISO 1133 (230°C, 5 kg) expressed in g/10 min, Tm is the melting temperature measured by differential scanning calorimetry, expressed in °C and B is hexene-1 content expressed in percentage by weight with respect to total weight of the copolymer.
EFFECT: capacity of the plastic tanks to provide optimum operating characteristics in terms of resistance to high-temperature creep, time to failure and failure behaviour.
