SUBSTANCE: device (2), in particular, steam iron or steam ironing station comprises: a soleplate (4) for ironing with the openings (6) for steam outflow, a steam generation system and the main evaporation chamber (8), where the evaporable liquid is poured in the given first area (S1) and which (8) is connected to the openings (6) for steam outflow, the steam flow system and the auxiliary evaporation chamber (12) where the evaporable liquid can be poured in the given second area (S2) which differs from the first area (S1); a heating device (14) designed for heating the soleplate (4) for ironing and/or the main evaporation chamber (8) and/or the auxiliary evaporation chamber (12); and a section (16) for mounting the temperature sensor and the temperature sensor designed for temperature measurement of the soleplate (4) for ironing and/or the heating device (14). Moreover, the auxiliary evaporation chamber (12) comprises a conducting channel (22) for steam flow, which extends at least from the auxiliary evaporation chamber (12) to the section (16) for mounting the temperature sensor or to the temperature sensor.
