FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation, control testing and diagnosing ICEs. Proposed method comprises measuring pressure pulsation amplitude in central oil line, comparing measured amplitude with reference value, and setting ICE rpm to ensure faultless operation. Pulsation amplitude is measured in central oil line in section between filter and crankshaft bearings. Reference amplitude is represented by pressure pulsation amplitude for a new engine. Pressure pulsation amplitude is measured is made on moving transport facility with the help of electronic device. The latter measures also the ICE crankcase oil level. ICE rpm is set with due allowance for the results of comparison and ICE crankcase oil level. Invention covers also electronic device including pressure gage 1, signal amplifier 5, oil level gage, ICE electronic control unit 7, pressure indicator 3, and indicator light 12. Pressure gage 1 represents either strain gage or piezoelectric gage. Signal amplifier 5 is integrated with pressure gage 1 and arranged in one case therewith, and connected to controller 8. Controller 8 is arranged in electronic unit 7.
EFFECT: higher validity and reliability.
