SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation of machines and can be used for diagnosis of bearings of the crank mechanism of diesel motor and tractor engines. Method of determining the technical condition of slide bearings of the crank mechanism of diesel motor and tractors engines comprises, on a running engine, obtaining the relationship between oil pressure change in the central oil line and rotational speed of the crankshaft. To obtain the relationships, the engine is loaded by free acceleration. On the obtained relationships, a section corresponding to maximum torque of the crankshaft is selected and the data obtained on this section are compared with reference data.

EFFECT: technical result consists in an fast, in-place determination of the technical condition of the bearings of the crank mechanism of diesel motor and tractor engines.
