SUBSTANCE: method involves exciting a reservoir bed with an electromagnetic exciting field; measuring the electromagnetic signal formed by the electromagnetic exciting field in the reservoir bed; extracting from the measured electromagnetic signal spectral complex resistivity as a function of frequency; matching the spectral complex resistivity with an induced polarisation model and outputting by deduction, properties of the reservoir bed based on matching with the induced polarisation model.

EFFECT: high quality of mapping flooded areas.
