FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysical methods of exploration. Plurality of complex permeability estimates are made based on measurements using an electromagnetic device at multiple frequencies in a wellbore penetrating a geological formation. Estimation of the parameter of the geological formation is performed using a constant (v) spectral dielectric curve for the porous medium and at least one polarization parameter associated with the spectral dielectric curve. Constant (v) of the spectral dielectric curve is calculated using the ratio of the maximum imaginary value for the spectral dielectric curve and the difference of asymptotic values (ε=ε0, ε=ε∞) for the real parts of each estimate of the spectral dielectric curve. Reservoir parameter includes at least one of a bulk fraction of a mixture of hydrocarbons in the medium, a bulk aqueous fraction in the medium, and the porosity of the formation.
EFFECT: invention is intended to evaluate a geological formation containing a porous medium.
