FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: fuel element (1) comprises a membrane electrode unit (MEU) (13), where a fuel electrode (16) and an oxygen electrode (14) are located oppositely to an electrolytic membrane (15), besides, the electrolytic membrane is arranged between electrodes; the first pressing plate (10) and the second pressing plate (11), which are located oppositely to the MEU (13) and its peripheral area (13D); a through hole (12), stretching from the first pressing plate (10) towards the second pressing plate (11) via the peripheral area (13D); and a resin layer (20), pressed into the through hole (12). Due to the resin layer (20), shaped in the through hole (12), the MEU (13) is retained under pressure between the first pressing plate (10) and the second pressing plate (11). Compared to fixation with the help of a metal screw, the space required for fixation is reduced, and the space for protective insulation is not necessary. Due to resin layer (20) elasticity, the state of higher pressure is easily maintained.
EFFECT: design makes it possible to develop fuel elements of small size, capable of providing stable output.
