FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making a fuel cell and a fuel cell. According to the invention, in the method of manufacturing a fuel cell, two separators are mutually attached to a sealing element. Sealing element comprises a thermoplastic resin containing a crystalline polymer as an adhesive layer. Method of manufacturing fuel cell comprises: preparation of laminated structure, in which sealing element is arranged between two separators; heating the layered structure at the melting point of the thermoplastic resin or higher; after heating, holding the layered structure in the temperature range of ±10 °C from the crystallisation temperature of the thermoplastic resin to activate the crystallisation of the thermoplastic resin and after holding further cooling of the layered structure.

EFFECT: improved strength of the separator attachment.
