FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: measurement of instantaneous values of currents and voltages in the area of protection installation, determination of a resulting value on their basis, which characterises damage and compares it with setpoints of areas, in which the degree of statistical interconnection of instantaneous values of current and voltage on the basis of their mutual correlation is additionally identified, and the resulting value is produced by its subsequent normalising to energy of a current or voltage signal. The energy of the current or voltage signal is calculated preferably by summation of squares of instantaneous values of current or voltage.
EFFECT: higher stability of functioning.
