FIELD: protection of high-voltage power transmission lines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes reception of correct-time signals across line ends under check followed by synthesizing pulse trains with parameters depending on correct-time signals; recording of time intervals between synthesized-signal pulses and positive null-junctions of voltages across line ends under check; and subtraction of phase-shift angle values; results of subtraction are used in case this angle exceeds desired value to generate control signal. Pulse train is synthesized at frequency of 100 Hz, broadband pulse signals are generated and conveyed to communication line, time intervals between odd-numbered pulses of synthesized signal and positive null-junctions of voltages across line ends under check being coded in parameters of these signals; broadband pulse signals are received and subjected to digital time-frequency treatment to obtain phase shift.
EFFECT: enhanced measurement accuracy and noise immunity.
