SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely medical diseases, and may be used in diagnosing of acquired androgen deficiency in males suffering chronic cardiac failure (CCF). There are involved specifying patient's age, years and measuring waist, cm; left ventricular ejection fraction is expressed in percentage. An androgen deficiency (AnD) index is calculated by means of a multiple regression equation: AnD=19.6-0.009A-0.11F-0.37W wherein: AnD is the androgen deficiency index; A is the patient's age, completed years; F is left ventricular ejection fraction, percentage; W is waist, cm. The derived value being 12 and less is a sign of acquired androgen deficiency.
EFFECT: technique enables extending the non-invasive method for detecting age-related acquired androgen deficiency in males suffering CCF.
