SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely dentistry. The evaluation of a secretory function of salivary glands is ensured by weighting swabs, placing the swabs at the bottom of the oral cavity under the tongue, weighting the swabs impregnated with saliva with the studies repeated for three times, and calculation of an average weight of saliva. Saliva is collected from the right and left parotid salivary glands separately, as well as from sublingual and submandibular pairs of the salivary glands for 5 minutes. "Dry Tips" Molnlycke Health Care pads are pre-weighted and attached with their acute angles to a pterygomandibular fold, with a capillary absorption surface to a buccal mucosa so that duct openings of the right and left salivary glands are arranged in the centre of the pads. Two "Medicom" Medicom Healthcare B.V. cotton swabs are placed at the bottom of the oral cavity. The pads are weighted separately from the left and right sides; the swabs are weighted together.

EFFECT: method enables evaluating saliva production in each of the parotid salivary glands, contribution to the formation of the oral fluid of the sublingual and submandibular salivary glands, as well as instant diagnosing of salivation of the parotid salivary glands.
