FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hybrid resin which is particularly suitable for impregnating paper sheets. The hybrid resin contains: (i) melamine urea formaldehyde resin and (ii) unsaturated polyester resin and is used as an adhesive system or an impregnating resin. The invention also relates to use of the hybrid resin to impregnate materials in form of sheets made from fibrous material, to material impregnated with the hybrid resin and to a multilayer board which is coated on one side by a resin-soaked paper layer and on the opposite side by a resin-soaked stabilising layer, wherein the paper layer and/or stabilising layer is impregnated with the hybrid resin.
EFFECT: disclosed hybrid resin improves mechanical properties of stabilising layers in multilayer boards and is cheaper.
