FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determination of one or more working protective zones in hot water supply system. One or more working protective zones include sensors of oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), which is capable of measuring in real time of ORP in the system at working temperature and pressure. Sensor transmits the real-time measured value of potential to the control unit that evaluates and interprets the transmitted potential so that it can be possible to determine, whether it corresponds to the specified ORP value or not. If the measured potential value does not correspond to the specified value, the control unit acts so that one or more active chemicals can be supplied to the system. Device includes receiver connected to one or more ORP sensors, control unit of supply of chemicals to the system, the processor of which is capable of interpreting the real-time measured ORP value and connected to the receiver on the side of each ORP sensor, and transmitting device in connection with the supply device capable of implementing the entry of one or more active chemicals to hot water supply system.
EFFECT: improving corrosion resistance of the system.
