SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for analyzing corrosion in an industrial system. A method for analyzing substrate in contact with fluid present in the industrial system includes creating a digital image of substrate when the specified substrate comes into contact with fluid present in the industrial system, determining the studied area on the digital image of the specified substrate, identifying signs of corrosion on the studied area of the digital image of the specified substrate, and analyzing signs of corrosion on the studied area of the digital image of the specified substrate.

EFFECT: technical result is the possibility to determine the corrosion rate in real time, increase in the accuracy of analysis, as well as the possibility to detect and predict local corrosion.
