SUBSTANCE: chamber is filled with a polymer solution; pulses are emitted; pulses passing through the sample are received; the propagation speed and attenuation coefficient of ultrasound are calculated; said pulses being emitted with different frequency and, based on the array of attenuation coefficients and propagation speed of ultrasound, the function of molecular weight distribution of the polymer in the solution is calculated using a certain mathematical expression.
EFFECT: method for ultrasonic inspection of molecular weight distribution of a polymer solution, which enables rapid determination of the value of molecular weight distribution of the polymer solution.
