FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: protective device of nuclear reactor includes measuring devices and sensors of NPP operating modes and protection control systems, emergency protection bar for suppression of a chain reaction at emergencies of different kinds, mechanism of horizontal and vertical displacement, which is mechanically connected to a swivel plug of the reactor housing roof, and guide elements located at the reactor housing bottom in the form of a mounting seat for unobstructed movement in downward direction of emergency protection bar. Device also includes magnetic conductor, armature and coil of magnetic conductor, switching device with a drive, power supply, control unit of switching device and damper spring; at that, magnetic conductor with coil is rigidly connected to mechanism of horizontal and vertical displacement, armature of magnetic conductor is rigidly connected to a head of emergency protection bar; mounting seat is rigidly connected to lower part of nuclear reactor housing. Magnetic conductor and armature of magnetic conductor are made from magnetic material with Curie temperature controlled due to chemical composition. The second version of protection device design includes an accelerating spring that is compressed between magnetic conductor and armature of magnetic conductor in a standby mode.
