FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for protecting a nuclear reactor with a high-temperature coolant. The device contains a power supply network of electric current, absorbing rods (4, 4a, 4b), made with the possibility of insertion into the core for emergency protection purposes, with actuators equipped with holding electromagnets for holding in a given position, as well as absorbing rods (5) additional emergency protection and a general electrical disconnector 11 of the current of the supply network of electric current. The power supply network is designed in such a way that the electric current passes in series through the windings of the holding electromagnets of all the absorbing rods. The electric current circuit includes at least one direct-acting thermal current disconnector (8) located in a cover isolated from the coolant in the flow of the hot coolant or at the outlet from the core, and also at least one electrical disconnector (11) of the current located in a cover of the absorbing rod (5) isolated from the heat carrier above the absorbing rod (5) equipped with a thermosensitive disconnector of the current (9) with a fusible lock.
EFFECT: ensuring that all absorbing rods are triggered in the event of an emergency.
