FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and can be used for soil conservation in areas close to its surface of spring internal soil underflow current on the slopes. The method of soil conservation on slopes includes reduction of removal of freely soluble forms of nitrogen from the root zone of the soil. Before harvesting the crop in various parts of the slope the level of microbial activity in the soil is determined. Then, during harvesting the height of stems cutting is left sufficient for application into the soil of 0.5 t/ha plant residues per each unit of the level of the soil microbiological activity in different parts of the slope. Immediately after harvesting the plant residues are ground and distributed over the surface of the field. Then they are plowed.
EFFECT: invention is used for conservation of freely soluble nitrogen resources in the soil from the previous crop harvesting to planting the next one.
