FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to casting piston Ni-resist cast iron rings with crystallisation by depression. Proposed device comprises top container 1 with male dies 4, intermediate container 2, bottom container 3 accommodating insert with forming cavity and extraction plunger. Rods to form piston pin bores are fitted in bottom container slides. Ni-resist cast iron ring is placed in mould and locked in slide stroke to mould axis. Mould is closed along parting I, fluid metal is poured at low pressure from furnace via metal duct and gating with gate to rule out extrusion of fluid metal therefrom. Mould is subjected to intensive cooling at applied low pressure to make a seal around male die. Forming is performed by male die at rated pressure. Mould is closed along parting II to broach side holes in body, bottom premoulding is performed, mould is intensively cooled and casting is held at pressure. Ceramic insert may be fitted additionally into the mould.
EFFECT: higher quality of piston, efficiency and safety.
