FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for machining, for example, working surfaces of dies. Proposed method comprises using cutter with cutting plates and flat generating surface and driving cutter in three nonlinearly coordinated forming directions. Milling is performed by rolling milled curvilinear section and, at a time, sliding on section equal to cutting plate edge length. Cutter is driven in two directions along machined section through said cutting plate edge length and turned in rotary feed so that cutting plate point displaces from the start to center of cutting plate edge and from said center to start per very rolling cycle.
EFFECT: higher durability and efficiency.
