FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical processing and may be used in making small-diameter bores in parts. Electrochemical processing of reinforced composite materials is performed with application of ultrasound field to make small-diameter holes in premade blank composed of matrix of hard alloy and steel reinforcement fitted therein in forming. Blank is connected to DC source positive terminal and dipped in electrolyte so that distance between blank end rotary cathode strip equals the initial electrode gap. Note here that voltage is fed to blank and cathode to dissolve reinforcement and to immunise matrix material. Note also that cathode rpm is set to satisfy empirical relationship that allows for matrix material the number of cathode strips.

EFFECT: selective etching, faster removal of dissolved material from made bore.
