FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device has lifting shape element fixed on camshaft displacing axially, control groove and control unit to set specified axial displacement of said camshaft. Control unit comprises push unit, preferably, moving radially relative to camshaft to be fitted in said shaped lifting element. The latter forms first control groove to interact with push unit at first depth for camshaft to perform first axial motion. Shaped lifting element forms second control groove to interact with push unit at second depth, other than first one, for camshaft to perform second axial motion different from first one. Invention covers also the method of adjusting ICE camshaft.
EFFECT: simplified design, higher reliability.
