FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: in the method to process and destroy solid wastes, wastes are loaded into a gasification chamber, heated, dried, exposed to pyrolysis and burnt with formation of processing products in the form of a pyrolysis gas and solid residue, and processing products are withdrawn from the gasification chamber. Heating, drying, pyrolysis are carried out at absolute pressure of 0.08-0.095 MPa. The entire produced pyrolysis gas is used as fuel by means of its burning in the afterburning chamber. Heat is supplied to wastes directly via the upper end surface formed by wastes, and/or via the entire side surface of wastes, with a gasifying agent in the form of hot combustion products and/or air. Hot combustion products are produced by means of burning of a fuel and air mixture formed from fuel and air of external sources, at the same time the pyrolysis gas prior to burning in the afterburning chamber is ejected by supply of an active stream of air and/or combustion products of the fuel and air mixture formed from the external sources of fuel and air.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of a process and expanded field of its application.
