FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring on a liquid sample analyser the intensity of luminol-dependent chemiluminescence of a natural sample (J0) and filters of the natural sample after fine filtration (J1) and ultrafiltration (J2) through transparent analytical track-etched membranes, determining percentage content of basic components of the aquatic medium directly participating in formation of the light sum of the reaction in form of microplankton with microsuspensions (A), bacteria (B) and solutions of organic and inorganic compounds (C) based on the measured light output values of the luminescent reaction (JA, JB, Jc) using the following formulae: J0=Ja+Jb+Jc J1=Jb+Jc J2=Jc, wherein content of microplankton with microsuspensions is calculated as (J0-J1):J0, content of bacteria is calculated as (J1-J2):J0, and content of solutions of organic and inorganic compounds is calculated as J2:J0.
EFFECT: easier and rapid assessment of suitability of water.
