SUBSTANCE: method is carried out by facilities of obtaining geographical information on a system of wireless communication, using one or more systems, accordingly. Channels are assigned priorities in a preferable list of roaming on the basis of geographical information, and it is determined, whether any of channels with assigned priorities is in the preferable list of roaming, also in the latest list according to the use of time (MRU). The mobile station tries to capture at least one of one or more channels with assigned priorities, which is also in the MRU list.
EFFECT: mobile device accumulator supply saving and improved probability of capturing a working communication system.
