FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: escarpment reinforcement method involves driving of an underground working-out along the open pit perimeter beyond the mine rock displacement zone in the open pit side part, drilling of rings of wells in vertical plane with arrangement of cable anchors in wells and their cementing. In order to improve the efficiency and reliability of reinforcement of local sections of fractured rock mass, a vertical well that is the end well of the ring of wells is made of a through type for arrangement of elements of rope-mesh screen. Distance between ends of wells in ring a and horizontal distance between rings b is accepted not less than average size of structural rock block lstruct b and set as per the ratio of a≤lstruct b, b≤lstruct b, but not more than the length determined as per the carrying capacity of anchor cables when hanging the screen and its longitudinal parameters.

EFFECT: improving rock mass reinforcement efficiency and reliability, and reducing material consumption and labour intensity.
