FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: device to be used with a valve includes a valve to be installed in a reservoir and includes and upper part located inside the reservoir and a lower part located outside the reservoir. Upper part is separated from lower part with a housing equipped with a thread to be adjoined to the reservoir. The first and the second pressure sensors detect inlet and outlet pressure of the valve respectively. Controller is equipped with a programmable processor and functionally connected to the first and the second pressure sensors. Programmable processor implements an instruction regarding the following: determination of inlet pressure by means of the first pressure sensor, determination of outlet pressure by means of the second pressure sensor, calculation of differential pressure between valve inlet pressure and valve outlet pressure comparison of the above differential pressure to the specified differential pressure to determine the valve state that corresponds to one of its specified operating conditions. A method to be used in the valve is described.
EFFECT: providing higher control level of the system owing to the possibility of determining the valve position at any time.
