SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method for assessing biocompatibility of dental polymer filling materials based on incubation of the filling material with the cell culture wherein the therapy is preceded by patient's oral fluid sampling in the amount of min. 6 ml wherein the amount of 2 ml is referred to a control sample, and the amount of 4 ml is divided on 2 equal portions of 2 ml and incubated for 30 minutes with weighted portions 30 mg of the analysed polymer filling materials pre-polymerised for 40 sec; all the oral fluid samples including the control sample are examined in a spectrometer after the weighted portions are removed; α-amylase and lactate dehydrogenase activity are determined; and a degree of oral fluid enzyme activity variation as compared to the control sample show the biocompatibility of the polymer filling material.

EFFECT: method provides fast determination of the biocompatibility of the dental polymer filling materials with minimal expenses.
