FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to thermal degassing of refractory alloy pellets and their preparation for compaction. Degassing chamber is evacuated to pressure not exceeding 1·10-4 mm Hg to dispense pellets onto inclined surface heated to 130-150°C. Thermal degassing of pellets is performed in moving bed its depth making 8-15 monolayers at their displacement on said inclined surface to fill steel capsule heated at 400°C with said pellets.
EFFECT: efficient gas removal, faster preparation for compaction.
