FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: system for supporting a packet transmission procedure includes a packet manager which divides the selected content entity into individual content segments. A transmitter then transmits content segments essentially simultaneously over different corresponding transmission channels. One or more electronic devices receive and store the transmitted content segments. The content manager of the electronic device performs a reassembly procedure in order to convert content segments into the initially transmitted content entity for use by the device user.
EFFECT: efficient transmission of content packets to electronic devices.
