SUBSTANCE: obtaining of composition of tungsten carbide with platinum, which has increased electrocatalytic activity, temperature decrease of electrochemical synthesis of target product, as well as increase in target product synthesis speed at reduction of electric energy costs, is the technical result of the proposed invention. Electrochemical synthesis of composition of tungsten carbide with platinum involves electrolyte containing sodium chloride, potassium chloride, cesium chloride, sodium fluoroxitungstate and platinum chlorhydric acid. Electrolysis is performed in a three-electrode quartz cell, where a glassy carbon crucible serves as a cathode, at the temperature of 550°C, at current densities of 0.1-1.0 A/cm, and carbon dioxide is used as a carbon source.

EFFECT: new generation of fuel elements and electrolysers for electrochemical formation of hydrogen.
