FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: controlled spark discharge cutoff circuit (1) consisting of many in-series connected individual spark gaps (4, 4a), parallel to which the sequence of active resistances is connected to control the potential, and auxiliary electrode (9, 9a) for external initiation is located at least in one individual spark gap (4, 4a). In addition to active resistances, there connected parallel to individual spark gaps (4, 4a) are capacitors (3, 3a), and cutoff circuit includes additional damping unit (20) consisting of in-series connected compensating resistance (21) and compensating inductance (22) together with spark gap (23) connected parallel to them, connected before and after at least one stage of spark discharge cutoff circuit (1), thus forming a series chain; at that, spark discharge cutoff circuit (1) with additional damping unit (20) is attached together with voltage divider (32) to common load-carrying frame (30) with one main electrode (35) for those auxiliary components.
EFFECT: decreasing overall dimensions of the device.
