FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical safety devices. It is designed to limit overvoltage in the protected distribution network. Circuit design of the spark gap triggering circuit (1) in an overvoltage protection device with an asymmetric element, intended to initiate a discharge in a spark gap (4) with symmetrical or asymmetric arrangement of main electrode I (5) connected to input terminal I (2), main electrode II (6) connected to input terminal II (3) and auxiliary electrode (7). Main electrode I (5) of spark gap (4), which is connected through temperature-sensitive disconnector (21), as well as through a group consisting of a parallel-connected variator II (9) and capacitor I (16), with electrode I (13) of asymmetrical three-pole lightning arrestor (12), in which middle electrode (15) is connected through primary winding (20) of transformer (18) to main electrode II (6) of spark gap (4), in which auxiliary electrode (7) is connected through variator I (8) to electrode II (14) of asymmetrical three-pole lightning arrester (12), which is connected through secondary winding (19) of transformer (18) to main electrode II (6) of spark gap (4), and at the same time, temperature-sensitive disconnector (21) is connected by thermal coupling (22) to variator II (9) and the voltage on asymmetrical three-pole lightning arrestor (12) is distributed as follows: static ignition voltage U1 between electrode II (14) and middle electrode (15) is higher than static ignition voltage U2 between middle electrode (15) and electrode I (13).
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the reliability of initiation of the discharge and, accordingly, the ability to include a chain of auxiliary ignition of the spark gap by using an asymmetrical element consisting of an asymmetric three-pole lightning arrestor.
